Given the recent threat by the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Jubilant Life Sciences Limited has taken several proactive measures to curb the spread of the contagious virus among its employees and stakeholders.
A company-wide awareness campaign was launched with informative emailers.
Internal travel advisories have been issued to all employees and all international and domestic travel have been cancelled with immediate effect unless deemed critical. Those employees who are already on travel were advised to return. Additionally, employees returning from affected countries within the past 15 days or might have come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or otherwise develops symptoms similar to ones for COVID-19 have been requested to report to their HR immediately and advised to work from home for two weeks, before resuming office.
Customers and business visitors have been communicated to conduct meetings over Audio/ Video conference call only.
Company internal gatherings have been postponed/ cancelled as well.
Biometric attendance system in Non-GMP areas for employees has been stopped and employees have been requested to mark attendance through their employee ID card/access card. Hand sanitizers with high alcohol content have been placed in meetings rooms and other common areas including the cafeteria and reception.
The staff working in the maintenance department including pantry and housekeeping have been provided with disposable masks and gloves and directed to wear them while performing their duties in the office premises. The office premises including furniture are routinely cleaned thoroughly with sanitizing substances and the premises are periodically fumigated after office hours, where needed.
To ensure the safety of the healthcare workers, facilities and patients, our personnel visiting these facilities are advised to self-monitor their body temperature and for other symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath.
We are closely monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and are also following the guidance of government and public health officials. We are reinforcing recommendations by these agencies on the appropriate health and safety measures, and along with corporate and site leadership, these recommendations are being communicated further to our people.
